THE BAND
Pictus has been thrilling audiences all over the country with their unique take on primal drums & bagpipes. You can feel the thunder of the war drums and hear the call of the great Highland bagpipes and let the music lift your spirits, stir your soul and speak to the voice of your ancestors.
But Pictus is not simply a “bagpipe and drum band” for there are stories, tales and jokes to be told by Oengus Mac Og, the drummer & voice of Pictus. There is Irish and Scottish Highland dance provided by the energetic and beautiful Ceilidh Shillelagh. there are Irish pennywhistle and original compositions by Tallisyn. So stand up, sound your barbaric YAWP! and be transported by Pictus!

OENGUS MACOG
Oengus is the heavy hitting drummer, warrior bard of Pictus. When he’s not laying down the thunder, he’s up front spinning tales and stories, telling jokes and imparting his “Scottish wisdom,” oft times with a wink and a nod. He enjoys a nice single malt scotch from time to time as well as brewing (and drinking!) his home-brewed mead.

TALLISYN
Tallisyn is the true musical voice of Pictus. With over 20 years of bagpiping experience, countless awards from all over the world and a style all his own, Tallisyn can pick up nearly any instrument and in a short time have it nearly mastered. With his quiet strength he forces you to take notice, his fingers a blur as he tears through tunes with power and precision. He can then bring you to tears with his soulful, beautiful playing. Tallisyn is also a fantastic composer, composing all the original songs in Pictus’ catalogue. Whether he’s tearing through a jig, or masterfully playing a Piobaireachd, it’s impossible not to be drawn in by his talent and presence.
CEILIDH SHILLELAGH
Céilidh Shillelagh embodies the true spirit of the warrior woman. And in that grand tradition, she builds and maintains the foundation of Pictus’ powerful rhythms. With strength and confidence she’ll lay down her drum sticks and command the front of the stage with fierce Irish hard shoe and Highland dancing. Ceilidh will inspire and empower the warrior woman inside of everyone, young and old.
